pRaL® acrylic solid surface
pRaL® solid surface is a solid, self-colored composite material that is made up of acrylate and natural minerals. The look and feel of pRaL® sheet material lends itself to creating the most diverse and prestigious range of design projects. pRaL® has multiple applications as a cladding material for items such as worktops in kitchens, bathroom furniture and showers; in healthcare, shopfitting, restaurants, etc. pRaL® in white colour 2060 was used for the FD1 cabinet. A noteworthy feature of pRaL® is the seamless adhesive bonding; this is true of both butt and corner joints. This means, as it were, that infinitely long structures can be built without any visible seams at all. The procedure for installing pRaL® differs from that of HPL laminates, this is catered for by intensive training which can be organized by the local pRaL® reference person at the installer’s site. In addition there is a highly detailed pRaL® installation manual available. pRaL® solid surface sheets are available in 3,600 x 760 and 3,600 x 1,350 mm sizes. Sheet thicknesses are 3-6-8-10-12-18 mm. Many colours are available for supply directly from stock including the appropriate pRaL® adhesive in matching colours. The palette of pRaL® colours available to order totals over 40 different shades, ranging from timeless to avant-garde. Personalised pRaL® colours can also be created, subject to a modest minimum quantity.
